  • Overview

    As ServiceNow Administrator you are responsible for advanced administration, development, and platform ownership of ServiceNow. You will design, build, test, and deploy configurations, as well as be responsible for platform upgrades. You will provide strategy and technical insight in designing and supporting ServiceNow while aligning to IT Service Management Best Practices. As the sole ServiceNow Administrator you will research, plan, coordinate, and implement application solutions. Your responsibilities will vary from ServiceNow strategy to day-to-day support of the application. Excellent opportunity for a self-driven, innovative professional.

     

    The candidate must possess hands-on experience with administration and customization of ServiceNow. Ability to take up challenges, adapt to the business needs, and stay focused on delivering results is essential to the success of this role. Experience with client scripting (JavaScript, HTML) is preferred. Experience with LDAP/AD, networking, and databases is desired.

    Responsibilities

    • Configure and customize the ServiceNow platform, including workflow creation, configuration of Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACLs
    • Collaborate with IT to create Requirements and Technical Specifications Documentation
    • Deliver a product/release that meets the needs presented
    • Maintain data between ServiceNow and other applications
    • Monitor system stability and performance metrics to prevent service degradation or interruption
    • Collaborate with outsourced partner to plan and upgrade the ServiceNow Platform, as required
    • Create, manage, and analyze ITSM reporting functions
    • Create new ServiceNow-based applications and maintain legacy applications
    • Create and maintain reports and dashboards
    • Perform system and integration testing with sample and live data
    • Work directly with IT Management to align ServiceNow with IT strategy
    • Maintain and support ServiceNow operational functions
    • Responsible for developing and maintaining documentation relevant to the platform
    • Monitor health, usage, and overall compliance of the application

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree with a 3.0 minimum GPA. Computer Science or related discipline preferred
    • Minimum of 2 years working with ServiceNow Platform development and administration
    • Working experience integrating ServiceNow with other applications
    • Expertise in JavaScript, XML, HTML, and Web Services
    • Knowledge of LDAP/Active Directory and relevant IT architecture experience
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent problem solving and customer service skills
    • ITIL v3 Foundations Certification, preferred
    • ServiceNow System Administration Certification, a plus
