Overview

We are seeking a talented and driven candidate for our analyst program – someone who brings mastery of Excel and thrives in a fast-paced, data-intensive environment. This position offers exposure to the full lifecycle of commercial real estate investment, including acquisitions, financing and capital markets, leasing, asset management, and dispositions.  You’ll be expected to build and manipulate complex financial models with speed and precision, often under tight deadlines.  As a part of a collaborative and high-performing team, you will work alongside some of the most accomplished professionals in the industry and develop the skills necessary for a successful, long-term career in commercial real estate.  This role demands exceptional analytical horsepower, attention to detail, fluency in Excel modeling, and may occasionally require extended hours to meet critical deadlines or support time-sensitive projects. If you are analytical, detail-oriented, curious, and a fast learner, we look forward to meeting you.

Responsibilities

Asset Management

  • Work collaboratively with Portfolio and Asset Managers to optimize the performance and strategy for a 75 million square foot portfolio of office, industrial, medical office and life sciences real estate.
  • Build and maintain dynamic Excel models to evaluate redevelopment, new development, and other value-enhancing strategies.
  • Develop strategic business plans through market research and rigorous financial modeling using ARGUS and advanced Excel techniques (e.g., scenario analysis, waterfall structures, VBA automation).
  • Prepare and analyze data for quarterly earnings reports, board meetings, and budgeting.
  • Assist in preparing hold/sell analyses and disposition recommendation memoranda and presentation materials for investment committee.

Acquisitions/Dispositions

  • Create and refine complex Excel models to evaluate prospective investments, incorporating sensitivity analyses, IRR/NPV calculations, and capital stack structures.
  • Conduct in-depth market research on supply/demand fundamentals, economic trends, comparable sales and lease transactions, and more.
  • Assist in preparing investment memoranda and presentation materials for investment committee.
  • Support the deal team in negotiating and closing acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Participate in front-facing activities essential to the acquisitions and dispositions process.

Debt Capital Markets

  • Collaborate with loan origination professionals, mortgage bankers and prospective borrower clients to evaluate potential debt investments in transitional commercial real estate projects.
  • Analyze and model property rent rolls, operating statements, and pro forma projections related to value-add business plans.
  • Conduct competitive set and general market research to validate underwriting assumptions.
  • Assist in preparing loan term sheets, internal investment memoranda, and quarterly loan asset summary reports for asset management.
  • Support the due diligence and loan closing process, including reviewing real estate documents such as leases, loan documents, budgets, appraisals, and third-party reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, real estate, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial real estate or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Excel—ability to build complex models from scratch, audit formulas, and automate workflows using advanced functions and VBA.
  • Ability to learn quickly and solve problems in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills; thrives under pressure and meets deadlines without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Working knowledge of ARGUS preferred.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism, especially when handling sensitive or confidential information.
