Overview

The Director of Content leads RMR’s in-house Content Studio — a multidisciplinary team responsible for creating stories that move people and make meaning across every brand touchpoint. This role shapes the narrative voice of RMR and its brands (including ARIUM, RMR, and Tremont), overseeing all content strategy, development, and production across written, visual, and multimedia channels.

The ideal candidate is equal parts strategist and storyteller — someone who can turn business objectives into compelling creative ideas, guide a team of content producers, and uphold the highest standards of craft and clarity.

Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute a unified content strategy that supports RMR’s business goals, brand positioning, and marketing campaigns.
  • Lead the Content Studio team, setting creative direction, priorities, and performance standards.
  • Partner with Brand and Digital teams to ensure consistent storytelling and alignment across all owned, earned, and paid channels.
  • Establish editorial calendars and content frameworks for both RMR (B2B) and ARIUM (B2C) audiences.
  • Translate complex real estate, investment, and operational narratives into stories that connect emotionally and drive engagement.

Creative Development & Production Oversight

  • Provide creative direction for all written and video content — from concept through final delivery.
  • Review and refine all scripts, articles, case studies, and multimedia projects to ensure alignment with brand tone, message, and quality.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to bring stories to life across multiple formats (video, web, print, social, etc.).
  • Oversee brand storytelling campaigns, thought leadership initiatives, and original content series that elevate brand perception and awareness.

People Management & Culture

  • Coach and develop team members, fostering creativity, accountability, and collaboration within the Content Studio.
  • Build scalable systems for content planning, creation, and performance tracking.
  • Champion a culture of creativity and craft — where every piece of content earns attention and builds belief.

Performance & Measurement

  • Define and monitor KPIs for content effectiveness, including engagement, reach, and conversion metrics.
  • Leverage analytics and audience insights to guide continuous improvement of content quality and impact.
  • Present results and learnings to marketing leadership regularly.

Qualifications

  • 8–10 years of experience in content strategy, brand storytelling, or editorial leadership — ideally within a marketing or media environment.
  • Proven success managing creative teams and complex content pipelines across multiple brands or business units.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with an eye for both detail and big-picture narrative.
  • Strong understanding of multimedia production workflows and creative direction.
  • Ability to translate corporate strategy into content that feels human, modern, and emotionally resonant.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with senior leadership, brand strategists, and creative partners.
  • Experience in real estate, asset management, or another sophisticated B2B/B2C sector preferred.
